Tami Cannizzaro is a Certified Professional Career Coach (CPCC), veteran marketing and PR professional, speaker and author with more than 30 years of experience working for and with major brands such as Neiman Marcus, Zale, Nokia, 7-Eleven, Blockbuster and Michaels. She has held positions in a variety of areas such as buying, marketing/ advertising, strategic development and public relations.
Tami has received corporate recognition for her contributions, including the Blockbuster Walk of Fame award and the Neiman-Marcus Star award, and received a 2007 Silver Anvil Award from the Public Relations Society of America for excellence in marketing consumer products.
Tami serves on the MS Marketing Advisory Board at Texas A&M University and is an alumnus of Dallas-based Executives in Action. She was a 2014-2015 Community Voices columnist for The Dallas Morning News and is a contributor to Neighbors Go in the Dallas Morning News. Her books, Tales of the Terminated and Adventures in the Discomfort Zone provide a humorous look at life after a layoff.
An almost-native Texan and die-hard Aggie, Tami holds both a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology and an MBA from Texas A&M University, as well as a Graduate Marketing Certificate from Southern Methodist University. She lives in Dallas with her husband Tom and their four-legged daughter, Kylie.
